Hysterically Heddy

GATHER 'ROUND, FOR I HAVE NEWS! There a couple of supervisor positions at work that opened up, and I applied and was selected for one of them!!! I honestly didn't think I'd get the position, so needles to say I'm both surprised and excited for the opportunity to lead a team of people in a field I'm very passionate about.  I'm currently on first shift, and so is my girlfriend. On February 16th, I'll begin my training period, then I'll be moving into the position on second shift on March 1st. I can't wait to start doing things and getting my feet wet!!! Now, I'm also worried how this will affect my personal life. My girlfriend and I won't be able to see each other as much, so that'll be sad because I genuinely enjoy her company. Im also worried about the stress level, but I have a therapist that I can get help from when needed so I think I'll be okay.  I just feel ready to learn new things, and this is the next step for me at my job.  C...

I ended up caving mid December and I fell off the healthy wagon. It's just really hard to eat right. I'm hungry all the time, and I'm exhausted. Salad just doesn't do it for me. It's been a long couple of weeks.  I found out around 3 days ago that a friend of mine passed away. Not someone I'm currently close to, but someone I was a big fan of. Im not going to get into the details, it's not my business to share, but I will say he was an absolute angel to know, and I deeply regret that I'll never get to talk to him again. I don't keep in contact with the people I care about very well. I work too much and have to squeeze everything in a small window of availability, and sometimes it's just easier not to try to do anything at all. That's the fatalist of me I guess.
